Initial Setting of IP Address

The following steps will help you access the browser-based configuration of the REA Gateway. By default, DHCP is enabled. If the unit fails to obtain an IP address over DHCP it will Auto IP with 169.254.X.Y.

  1. Connect the unit directly to a laptop/PC or to a network.

  2. Run the IPSetup.exe tool.

  3. Find the unit under ‘Select a Unit’ and click the + to show both ports.

  4. Select the port that is currently being used.

  5. Enter the IP Address and other network settings into the NDK Settings window.

  6. Click the ‘Set ->’ button.

The IP Address is now set, and the browser-based configuration can be accessed by typing the IP address into your web browser.

Firmware Version

Prior to implementation, please make sure the firmware on the RX.001 is up to date. The current firmware version is 8.7.54. If the firmware on the gateway is below this version, please update the firmware.

To update the firmware:

  1. Download the firmware file (460_EIPTCP_261_N2E_APP.s19) and the update tool (AutoUpdate.exe) from https://gateway.reajetus.com.

  2. Connect you PC/laptop to the same network as the gateway and open the AutoUpdate.exe tool.

  3. Type the IP Address or click “Find…”.

  4. Click “Browse…” and locate and select the firmware file (460_EIPTCP_261_N2E_APP.s19)

  5. Click the “Update” button.

Once the gateway reboots, open the web interface for the gateway and confirm the firmware revision number located at the bottom of the page.
