Data Limitations

The REA Gateway includes a few data limitations to provide more features. Below is a list of the limitations.

Max Number of Bitmap Variables (for Multi-Bitmap fields)	4
Specific Events/Commands
DOD 2.0	None
HR	Get Cartridges (ink percentage remaining, number of prints remaining, expiration year/month)
GK 2.0	None
SC 2.0	None
CL/FL	None

Should the application require anything beyond these limitations, please contact REA JET for recommendations and support.

Other Events/Digital IO Ports

There are some events on the REA JET Controller that cannot be monitored using the REA Gateway and can only be monitored using the Digital IO (24VDC) port. These events include:

1. Ink Supply Status (DOD 2.0/GK 2.0)

2. Printing/Busy Status (All Controllers)

Additionally, there are some commands that can only be used with the Digital IO port. These commands include:

1. Print-go signal (Digital IO port OR photosensor)

2. Hide/Unhide objects

3. Bidirectional feature

4. Counter increment

To monitor these events or to perform these commands, please connect to the Digital IO port on the REA JET Controller. For more information, please contact REA JET.

Encoder Signal

It is not possible to set the encoder signal speed or pulse rate through the REA Gateway.
